A urine test designed to help identify bacterial growth in the urine and guide antibiotic selection when indicated.
This test may be useful for patients with urinary symptoms such as burning, frequency, urgency, pelvic discomfort, cloudy urine, odor, or concern for urinary tract infection. If bacteria are identified, sensitivity testing may help determine which antibiotics are likely to be effective.
Best for: possible urinary tract infection, recurrent urinary symptoms, persistent symptoms, or follow-up when infection is suspected.
