A blood test panel designed to help screen for markers associated with celiac disease.
This panel includes commonly ordered celiac-related antibody testing and total IgA assessment. It may be useful for patients with chronic gastrointestinal symptoms, bloating, diarrhea, unexplained anemia, nutrient deficiencies, family history of celiac disease, or concern for gluten-related autoimmune disease.
Best for: celiac disease screening, chronic GI symptoms, unexplained iron deficiency or nutrient deficiency, family history of celiac disease, or patients wanting gluten-related autoimmune screening.
Important: Celiac testing is generally most useful when the patient is still eating gluten. Results should be interpreted in clinical context.
